Straight-up High School Makeup: How much is too much?

Good Day peoples, today I would like to tell you all about high school makeup. I am in high school and I think that often times (especially in the online beauty community) this topic is often overlooked. So when you're in high school what exactly is the right amount of makeup?

The Face
So you know how a lot of girls in the beauty community use foundation all over their face? Well let me tell you something they're not telling you.

If uneeded, why wear it?
Many girls suffer from hyperpigmentation and sunspots, and in many cases, bad acne. These circumstances are when foundation is typically preferred to people. But girl! If you only have like 5 blemishes and some dark circles?! A little concealer for spot concealing and some powder will make your skin look flawless! Wearing unecessary makeup is clogging your pores, thus slowly but surely making your skin get worse and worse.

No Stripes on the Cheeks Please
Have you ever noticed the amount of blush that some people wear everyday? Some girls wear so much, you can literally see stripes on their cheeks. For high schoolers, this is definitely too dramatic. So how to get a natural flush to your cheeks without looking like a zebra? Find a blush that is a light baby pink, and make sure you do your research. You want a blush that is not very pigmented, as many blushes that are pigmented tend to leave stripes, and sometimes even blending it out with a powder or kabuki brush just won't do it. For blush, I highly reccommend Maybelline's "Fit me" blushes. These blushes are often overlooked in the beauty community because they're not very pigmented. However in my experience, if you apply a good two sweeps across the cheek of this product, you will achieve that nice, natural glow.

The Eyes

Crazy Contouring?!
Who ever said you had to contour in your crease like mad? A simple shimmery white under the brow bone and on the inner corner with a champagne color on the lid will do the trick to truly enhance your natural beauty. However, if you still want to contour your eye without those crazy stipes on your eyes, applying a tiny bit of a light brown on the outer part of the lid will create the same effect to your eye without making your makeup so dramatic.

No more Mascara Mayhem!
Why wear coat upon coat upon coat of black mascara, when you could wear just one coat of a very natural looking mascara that doesn't clump? I highly recommend L'Oreal's Telescopic mascara, as it never clumps, and looks so natural on my eyelashes!
Yours to the glitter end,
Chloe :)
