Revlon Grow Luscious Mascara Review

Revlon Grow Luscious Mascara Review
WHAAAAAAAAATTTTT???????????
Was my first response when I finally gave this underdog product a try this week. Jessica had recommended it to me a few months back, but I never gave it a try until now, and I am SO glad I did!!!!

THE GOOD
DAAAAANNNNNNGGGG for a drugstore mascara, this product creates the most lengthy, BLACK, and curly lashes while still allowing flexability in the lashes once it has dried! Another trait it has is the large wand. Some may say this is a bad thing, but I think it depends on one's own preferences. I personally am neutral about it. Sometimes I'm extremely happy with it because it coats my lashes far more rapidly than a lot of my other mascaras, and other times, it gets annoying to get the inner corner and lower lashes.

THE BAD
The product itself is adored by me daily, but as for the packaging...ehh. All it has is green and silver in a very simple, normal looking tube. There's not really anything attracting to it to draw people in. However if people would try their best not to judge the book by it's cover, they would find out how great of a product it really is!

THE GLAMOROUS
One thing I really appreciate about this product is the price, and what you get for that price! It's a real bargain and it's sooooooooooo what's the word? Oh yeah, LUSCIOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Straight-up High School Makeup: How much is too much?

Good Day peoples, today I would like to tell you all about high school makeup. I am in high school and I think that often times (especially in the online beauty community) this topic is often overlooked. So when you're in high school what exactly is the right amount of makeup?

The Face
So you know how a lot of girls in the beauty community use foundation all over their face? Well let me tell you something they're not telling you.

If uneeded, why wear it?
Many girls suffer from hyperpigmentation and sunspots, and in many cases, bad acne. These circumstances are when foundation is typically preferred to people. But girl! If you only have like 5 blemishes and some dark circles?! A little concealer for spot concealing and some powder will make your skin look flawless! Wearing unecessary makeup is clogging your pores, thus slowly but surely making your skin get worse and worse.

No Stripes on the Cheeks Please
Have you ever noticed the amount of blush that some people wear everyday? Some girls wear so much, you can literally see stripes on their cheeks. For high schoolers, this is definitely too dramatic. So how to get a natural flush to your cheeks without looking like a zebra? Find a blush that is a light baby pink, and make sure you do your research. You want a blush that is not very pigmented, as many blushes that are pigmented tend to leave stripes, and sometimes even blending it out with a powder or kabuki brush just won't do it. For blush, I highly reccommend Maybelline's "Fit me" blushes. These blushes are often overlooked in the beauty community because they're not very pigmented. However in my experience, if you apply a good two sweeps across the cheek of this product, you will achieve that nice, natural glow.

The Eyes

Crazy Contouring?!
Who ever said you had to contour in your crease like mad? A simple shimmery white under the brow bone and on the inner corner with a champagne color on the lid will do the trick to truly enhance your natural beauty. However, if you still want to contour your eye without those crazy stipes on your eyes, applying a tiny bit of a light brown on the outer part of the lid will create the same effect to your eye without making your makeup so dramatic.

No more Mascara Mayhem!
Why wear coat upon coat upon coat of black mascara, when you could wear just one coat of a very natural looking mascara that doesn't clump? I highly recommend L'Oreal's Telescopic mascara, as it never clumps, and looks so natural on my eyelashes!

Review: Maybelline Color Tattoos

I want to tell You about these Maybelline Color Tattoos!
Hello sunshines! Today I would like to review a product that has gotten a lot of buzz on the web, the color tattoos from Maybelline.

The Good, the Bad, and the Glamorous

The Good:

Very Pigmented

I loved the pigmentation on these. With many cream eyeshadows, it is very difficult to get the pigmentation that I want. But with this product, it is very easy to build the color(s).

The Bad:

False Advertising

This product says that it should last for 24 hours, but in my experience, the most it will last is 3-4 hours before reapplication is needed. Creasing is a bit of a problem with this product, however it more clumps together in certain areas of the eyelid rather than creases.

Sticky

Unlike the MAC paint pots which this product has been compared to many times across the web, it is quite sticky and not as smooth as them.
The Glamorous:

Good color selection

Although this product has its faults, I will say that Maybelline gave us a great color selection and it is a good cream eyeshadow for its price ($4.99).

Review: Sephora Favorites- The Captivator Deluxe Fragrance Sampler

Hey Guys! Today I will be reviewing the Captivator Deluxe Fragrance Sampler by Sephora. Sephora has recently decided to come out with a collection of four deluxe sized perfume samplers, each one  sensual and captivating.

Review:
Dior Addict To Life- intense rose with sparkling lilac, vibrant jasmine, and white musk. Full sized- 1.7 oz ( got renamed to Dior Addict eau Sensuelle).

Viva La Juicy- sparkling wild berries, creamy vanilla caramel, and bright jasmine. Full sized- 1.0 oz
Michael Kors- tuberose, dewy freesia, white wings peony, blue orris, and musk. Full sized- 1.0 oz
Versace Yellow Diamond- heart of nymphaea, freesia, orange blossom, citron, pear, bergamot, neroli, amber wood, palo santo, and musk. Full sized- 1.0 oz

The Good, the Bad, and the Glamorous.

The Good:

Cost
I know what you're thinking $42 just for 4 0.17 oz bottles, but luckily it comes with a voucher that redeems at your local Sephora store (unfortunately not redeemable or for sale in Canada) for the full sized version of any perfume in this set. Which if you do the math is definitely a good deal, after all a full sized bottle can cost over the $42 you paid. But only if you truly like one of the samples.

Variety
If you're like me who gets sick of the same perfume all the time and therefore never finishes a bottle, then this set is a good cure for that due to it's small size and variety.

Travel friendly
Perfect size to drop in your purse to apply through out the day.

The Bad:

Difficult application
All of the perfume samples in this set do not have a spray, they can only be applied by splashing them on. Now the art of splashing perfumes is something I've never mastered and probably never will, if you think about it even using a perfume with a spray applicator is difficult to get the right amount then how can you control the amount by just literally dripping it on? Also it is difficult to uncap the bottle (especially the Dior one) with out perfume accidentally spilling.

What if...
What if you don't like any of the scents? Well then you're out of luck, but remember it is very giftable.
So always go to the store before hand and try the perfumes in this set in person.
From left to right: Versace Yellow Diamond, Michael Kors,  Viva La Juciy, and Dior Addict to Life.

The Glamorous:

Packaging
What else can be more cute than mini perfume bottles! They are perfect to display on your vanity.

Jessica ^ ^

Review: Hard Candy Glamoflauge Concealer

Hello Beauties! Today I will be doing a quick review on a concealer that has blown my mind recently. Personally, I believe that every girl should own a really great concealer with the whole package. Great coverage, great pigmentation, a great color selection, in short, the "perfect" product. And while I also believe that such a thing does not exist, the minute I tried out this product, I thought twice about that.

The Good, the Bad, and the Glamorous

The Good:
Money, money, money...
This product was honestly just something I picked up at Walmart when I was looking in the makeup section, and because I knew it was a drugstore product, I sort of didn't look at the price. However after the use of this product, I found out that is only costs $6, which is amazing for such a good quality product!

Great for Fair Skin tones!
I am a person with a very very fair complexion, so it is often difficult to find a concealer and or foundation that is light enough for my skin tone. This concealer comes in three shades: Ultra light, Medium, and Tan. Many times, I have tried out concealers that claim to be "light" and then come off on my skin as more of a tan! I have also tried concealers that come off on my skin light, and then about an hour later turn orange, so of course I am always skeptical of the actual color of the product beforehand. But I can assure you that when I tried this, I fell in love with it! It conceals very well and the ultra light shade is great for those of you girls out there with fair skin like me! It was indeed ultra light when I put it on my skin, and unlike many concealers out there (high end brands included) it stayed that way.

The Bad:
Alas, I did find some flaws with this otherwise flawless product.
The Wear
It will wear off throughout the day. Although the formula is pigmented, and will cover pretty much anything, this did wear off about midday for me even though I set it with translucent powder :(

Not an under-eye concealer
This concealer is amazing for blemishes, and any other discoloration on the face...besides the under-eyes. Yep, I'm sorry but compared to some other concealers, this is a miss for me in this department. I've been using a concealer by MAC for my under-eyes, their "Prolong-wear Concealer", and since I've started using that, nothing compares to it for the under-eyes for me!

The Glamorous:
The Packaging~SO cute
I love love LOVE the packaging and the name of this product. Glamoflauge is by far the CUTEST concealer name ever created :)

Chloe :)
